First-cycle and second-cycle programme studies
graduates of first cycle programme (Engineer) studies
graduates of second cycle programme (Master) studies
Due to its fields of study, the Faculty Drilling, Oil and Gas is unique in Poland. Presently, the Faculty educates students in Geoengineering and Borehole Mining, as well as Petroleum and Gas Engineering under the discipline of Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy.
Students of the second cycle programme (both full-time and extramural studies) may select the following specialties in the area of Geoengineering and Borehole Mining:
- Production of fluid minerals resources
- Natural gas engineering
- Geoengineering and geothermics
- Drilling and geoengineering
- Water protection and management
Students of the second cycle programme (both full-time and extramural studies) may select the following specialties in the area of Petroleum and Gas Engineering:
- Gas engineering
- Petroleum engineering
- Drilling engineering
It should be emphasised that in accordance with the applicable Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure and Development of 29 April 2019 concerning vocational preparation to hold autonomous technical functions in the construction industry (Dz.U. of 2019 Item 831), this area of study authorises the graduates to apply for construction qualifications in the engineering specialty within the scope of networks, installations and heating, ventilation, gas, waterworks and sewage equipment without any limitations.
The students of the Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas may take part in a number of student initiatives. At the Faculty, there are 5 scientific circles with a wide thematic scope and an organisation grouping students involved in the broadly understood oil industry, AGH UST SPE Student Chapter. In addition, the Faculty offers students many opportunities of practical training and student exchanges. Extending practical knowledge in the area of technical expertise in the leading field at the Faculty enables better understanding of how enterprises involved in the oil and natural gas sectors operate.
